webdna welcomes Junior Account and Project Manager
webdna continues to grow as Harrison Allen joins the team.
It’s an exciting time at webdna as we moved into our new home last week. Now, with space to grow and expand we have wasted no time in welcoming the next member of our team. We’re really pleased to welcome Harrison (Harry) Allen, who joins us as a Junior Project Manager and Account Manager. Harry's role spans both account management and project management so he’ll meet most of our clients. He’ll be in touch to introduce himself over the next few weeks.
Harry brings with him a diverse skill set. His journey into the world of IT began with an apprenticeship at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. There, alongside a solid technical understanding, he gained valuable experience in stakeholder management and IT projects, setting a solid foundation for his future career.
A webdna approach to recruitment
The Junior Project Manager and Account Manager position attracted a staggering 950+ applicants, truly putting our new recruitment process to the test. One of the key things we have changed with our recruitment strategy is that we now incorporate DISC Assessments, so our recruitment looks something like this: Application with CV, initial interview, DISC Assessment with task followed by a second interview to take a closer look at the outcomes.
We have found incorporating a DISC Assessment into the recruitment process is helping us to support and get the most out of successful candidates. Harry did demonstrate strong alignment with the role, but more than this, our approach enabled us to understand what support he needs to really make a success of the role.
It's brilliant to have Harry on board. He's already hit the ground running and is enjoying working with both Craft CMS and Craft Commerce. He's also spending time getting to know and understand our growing customer base.
Senior Account Manager
Outside of his professional life, Harry is a man of many talents. He’s currently training for his first half marathon. He has also had a passion for music since a young age and is currently a member of a steel band. We’re hoping he’ll give the team a lesson at one of our upcoming social events. Watch this space!
