The job

We are looking for a project coordinator to join our client services team in our Nottingham office. Could that be you? We are looking for someone who is great at managing lots of tasks at once. You’ll need to be able to multitask and prioritise tasks to make sure the most critical work is delivered first. You’ll need great communication skills; crafting emails, and speaking to people in person and on the phone. We will help you learn the skills you need at each stage of the project lifecycle to help you to grow into the role.

As project coordinator at webdna, you will join our client services team and will be mentored by our Senior Account Manager, Annabelle, and our Senior Project Manager, Helen, who will help you to rapidly improve your skills. To start, you will work in partnership with one of your mentors on all projects, and as you gain confidence and the skills that you need, you will be given your own projects and tasks to manage. As you gain experience with specific tasks, you will be given the opportunity and autonomy to lead on those tasks with the support you need. You will not just work with the rest of the client services team but will be exposed to all different parts of the business, learning from the development team about coding best practices, the design team about information architecture, user experience and user interface design, great interactions and delivering experiences that resonate with different audiences on different devices. You will also work with the marketing team to understand the role of different digital experiences in the customer journey and ensure that our work follows best practices for technical SEO.

Every day at webdna is different, but to give you a taste of what your role will include, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responding to clients' enquiries and issues. Getting a full understanding from the client, working with the relevant teams to get and understand the information needed and communicating that back to the client in a way that they understand.

  • Asking the right questions about client problems or new ideas so you understand what you are asking our teams to do.

  • Managing small projects from initial enquiries through specification, design, development, quality assurance and reporting to clients.

  • Managing the monthly security upgrades to our clients' websites, testing the changes and reporting back to the clients when they have been done.

  • Meeting with clients, to understand their businesses and project needs, take briefs and manage their projects.

  • Creating project plans and scheduling the team to deliver them across design, development and quality assurance.

  • Testing the functionality of any development work and ensuring that it meets the brief and matches the designs.

  • Building good relationships with our clients and in-house Development, Design and Marketing teams, ensuring that all required development work occurs and communication is smooth.

  • Helping to prioritise the right projects within the business and communicating with clients when their work will be delivered.

  • Supporting the wider team in delivering business growth, analysing current activities and providing recommendations, ensuring that opportunities are spotted and capitalised on.

We are looking for the right type of person with a great attitude to learning and developing their own skills. Someone who does not walk past a problem, they identify what it is and solve it or help someone else to find the right solution.

We are looking for someone who can learn quickly, and who shares our love for excellent work and delivering incredible results for our clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital experiences, have a strong work ethic, a good understanding of the requirements of our clients and the sort of eye for detail that will enable them to spot a front-end design that is not pixel-perfect.
