Webdna catch up with Pixel & Tonic ahead of Dot All 2023

Team members of webdna with pixel and tonic's Craft CMS commerce engineer at webdna

We’ve had a couple of very special visitors in the office this week. Pixel and Tonic’s Senior Commerce Engineer, Nathaniel Hammond and Lead Commerce Engineer, Luke Holder made a pit stop on their way to the annual Dot All conference.

They didn’t just hot desk, but actually got involved in the life of the business, joining us on our social event learning about the ghostly history of Nottingham. They also took in a couple of Nottingham restaurants during their stay, including the obligatory visit for a burger at webdna client Annie’s.

Dot All is a three day event that brings global Craft CMS and Craft Commerce experts together to discuss the ongoing developments and the upcoming opportunities within the industry. It’s a place to get together face to face and innovate making it an important part of the web development calendar.

It was great to catch up with Pixel and Tonic to have a chat and cover some of the burning issues as well as getting a taste of what we can expect next week. Along with workshopping, delegates can expect a host of diverse talks from industry experts covering everything from accessibility and humanising UX to helping clients with the universal question of buy vs build in web design.

As Craft Commerce Verified and Craft CMS Verified partners, the webdna team will be out in full force at Dot All this year. We’re looking forward to learning about the latest developments and best practice as well as exploring new technology. We’re also very much looking forward to sharing ideas on industry standards.

There are always fresh questions to ask ourselves in the world of web development and this year is no different as Francesca Buratti explores ‘Unveiling the Comedy and Chaos of AI Pair Programming’ and Lucy Williams investigates the power of planet-saving pixels.

But, best of all we’ll be connecting with the Craft community, catching up with some familiar faces, making new acquaintances and contributing to the dialogue of the conference - and we love to talk about Craft!

If you’d like to talk to us about Craft or Craft Commerce, please do get in touch.
